Lights from the City of the Future
Milan, 22, 23 and 24 October 2007
On the occasion of the visit by the commissioners of the Bureau International des Expositions, the Space Cannon beams of light illuminated the city of Milan, projecting it virtually into the architecture of 2015 when the major buildings which are to redesign the skyline of the Lombardy city will have been completed: the beams of light symbolically reproduced the architectural outlines, simulated the facades of buildings and traced the areas of interest where the new structures are to stand. The columns of light that rose up from the sites illuminated the present to tell the future and the immediate urban and architectural development of Milan. 54 Space Cannon IREOS spotlights were used, with white light, model 7000, fitted with xenon lamps.
